I remember my first camera. It was a plastic grey instant camera with these blueish single use flash bulbs. The device seemed to hold a sort of hidden power. I had no idea what I was doing and I took a bunch of pictures of my friend running through the woods at night. They were terribly underexposed. Thirty years later, after some trial and error, I am still taking these magical image making devices into the woods. Chasing after people, wildlife, and stories with the hopes of finding images that are meaningful, entertaining, elucidating and beautiful.
